Posted this also in the Mid-Atlantic region..but this has broad interest..

Well I was fortunate to have Chris Davis - "Detail Guy" come down to Richmond to tend to some of my cars and the 575M of a fellow Fchatter who can chime in if he likes. He also did my '97 Swaters blue 355 and '88 Mondial within the past month..I posted links then. Chris did a full detail on my 1994 Bentley Long Wheelbase Brooklands; light detail on the Qporte and Lambo and my wife's Bug; plus he has done the Mondial which is awaiting an X-OST up north. He was here Monday morning and left at 10pm Wednesday. I turned the garage over to him and couldn't have been more pleased with his work and just having him around. I look forward to seeing him and his girlfriend at the Classics on the James weekend on 9/15-16 (show is the 16th)

Some of you may know that he will be greatly curtailing his detailing activities due to a full time job. I may put this in another thread...and this is all un-solicited on Chris' part but suffice to say he is a 23 year-old George Mason grad in marketing, with a very strong, admirable work ethic and I think he is going to be under-employed in his new job. Maybe some of the smart, well connected heads around here in Northern Virginia can recognize a great potential management/marketing caliber person that will work his butt off. Richmond would have some potential but his girlfriend has a great job in NOVA, they have plans and I think he is committed to being there. His attention to detail and knowledge is incredible...and I learned so much about how to keep the cars in great shape..I never really knew how to use a clay bar...an order to Autogeek.net for supplies will be going out from me...plus some of that awesome Zymol..maybe Vintage...anyway here are links to his work:

Bentley: (This car will be at Classics on the James 9/16 maybe with a "FOR SALE" sign on it)

    Enjoy your weekend everyone..

    Cheers..

    BryanP,

That looks phenominal. The detail world will lose a great detailer when he gets a full time job. Hopefully for you east coasters, he will still be able to manage a few jobs on the side.

Love to have him touch my cars again but hopefully for him he gets a great marketing position for which he is very much qualified. He has a great skill package, demonstrated by his work for some of us here, and is available for some firm to snag IMHO

106FF is Menzerna Polish; also likes Menzerna Super Intensive polish
    IG is Invisible Glass

    Above are available at Autogeek.net

ONR - not sure - some detail fluid he uses if the car doesn't need a wash before polish.
SIP - not sure - prolly an abbreviation for some polish
    FK425 is a detail fluid - is at ChemicalGuys.com

Zymol is available at various dealers online - do a search. Prices are consistent.

Flits is a metal polish..see it alot at air shows for metal aircraft skins. I have/had some..search will easily find.

Some other things he used on my cars were a quart or 1/2 gal. foam soap hose attachment with DP foam . Clayed while he foamed the car- Autogeek
    EZ wheel brush - Autogeek
    Likes Meguiars QD (Ultra QD)

I have an order in to Autogeek :)

Zymol waxes are unbelievable ..what marketing..have a Vintage wax : @ $1800 for 22 oz..but refillable for life. Not cool enough..how bout Zymol Royale..@ $7100..also refillable. The Ital is a cheapie at $360. He put that on my F cars; Vintage on the Maserati and Destiny on the Lambo and Bentley..$486. Look at Emmons Coachwork online store..Chris used them..

Also used Meguiars PRO wheel cleaner..strong stuff, need to dilute. In a 128 oz bottle. Autogeek

Zaino leather finisher (unbelievable smell) and Leatherique Prestine leather cleaner. Zaino car wash soap also and their tire dressing. All direct from mfgrs

Checkout Autopia.org to see all the other detailing stuff that goes on..but Chris is universally hailed as the god there
