detailing over expel

My detailer (Swisswax) is proposing me to apply a crystal rock (carnauba) wax on a fully wrapped car (suntec) for almost 150$. I am little bit surprised to apply wax on a protective film and what benefits are. Did someone experienced this already ? Does it make sense ? Thanks in advance.
