    I have about 20 light grey spots, the size of a matchhead, all along the side of my truck. It looks and feels like a very very fine dried concrete or cement. Lots of construction in this area so I'm sure I was driving past some road construction project at a high rate of speed and got splashed.

    The truck is less than 2 yrs old, I've been vigilant about washing and waxing, getting bird shyte off quickly, so the paint is still in very good condition, I'd like to keep it that way. Very dark blue truck so the spots unfortunately show up very well. I tried to take a picture but since it's dark out, I couldn't get a good one.

    The spots won't flake off with my fingernail. Not even with moderate pressure.

    They've been there for a couple weeks, but I haven't had time to worry about it until now. I went thru 2 automatic car washes since I've seen the spots. I was hoping they'd just "disappear" but no such luck.

    Suggestions? Clay bar is my first thought but I'm afraid to try that first. Any other suggestions?

    My first thought was a clay bar. Just make sure to fold the clay a lot to prevent accumulating too much on the clay surface which could potentially scratch the paint.

    Just use a lot of whatever kind of lubricant you use (soapy water, speed shine, actual clay lube, etc) and remember ot keep folding the clay to expose a fresh surface.

    Should take it all out! :cool:

    Try clay, it's the best thing to try. Go to an auto store if you don't have any and pick up either the Mother's or Clay Magic kit. Neither is better than the other. Also, of the different ways, since it doesn't come off through washing, clay is the safest.

    Well said-lots of lube :))) and keep the clay fresh...

    Just take it to a detail shop, that's the best and safest bet.
