It was actually very easy. I was on the phone this morning with Mark at Algar's. He said that they were online with Ferrari (I would assume all dealers are). He typed in the serial number to my Mondial t and it came back with manufacturing information to include origional colors.

It was origionally white over red with black cab. I will keep it that way.

On colors I have learned that Ferrari did change Rosso Red about 4 years ago. The new Rosso Red is called Rosso Red 300 and is brighter than the old Rosso Red.

I thought that they had achieved the brighter red from something like additional fine sanding between clear coats, but it appears that it is the paint itself.

Ferrari has changed its red colors many times over the years. In the late 1960s up to about 1980, the bright red that was on most red Ferraris was called Rosso Chiaro and had more orange than the later Rosso Corsa. By the way, the word Rosso means red in Italian, so "Rosso red" is not meaningful. There are many shades of red, such as Rosso Corsa, Rosso Barchetta, Rosso Monza, etc.
