1966 coupe de ville looks kind of industrial in that paint color.

Would have been more interesting to build up and chop a 1967 Eldorado. Change it to a V12 with that long hood and of course make it rear wheel drive.

Thanks for all the pictures. The winner is surely more art than car...

Just noticed the green on green 1965 Buick Riviera in the background of the Ridler prize picture. Any pictures of the Riviera???

You don't see many Eldo customs, or Toros for that matter.

Sadly, no Riv pix. Maybe someone else took some shots. I'll look.

at least the wheels were not painted green! The low profile tires just don't look right on the old stuff. Thanks for finding that pic John.

Really great photos. It doesn't look crowded....is this a show that we need to attend? I've been to NAIAS often but never the Autorama. Also need to go to the SAE convention at COBO.

all the photos shown were taken before the massive crowds formed, can't go by those ;)
need to attend Autorama at least once, if for no other reason than to see the Ridler competition each year
SAE is for the hard core engineer types, not as much 'glamor' but great for techies
