    My first car was an old MGB, I was in high school. It did teach me everything about cars as I slowly rebuilt it one failed system after the next. I still miss it.

    A better term might be rolling spontaneous-combustion devices.

    Oil/fuel leaks and shoddy electrics are a recipe for disaster.

    Had a TR 250 for 6 months in 1971. Quick at that time, but unreliable. Valet got it stuck in 1st gear in downtown Dallas, and had to drive in 1st to Precision Motors at 75 and Southwestern. Red line- clutch - roll - repeat.
    Dad prodded me to buy a sports car and get out of my drag racing phase. I turned down a dark blue '69 Z-28 for $2,250 to buy this piece of crap. It was good for a White Rock Lake cruise with a lady.
