Had a TR 250 for 6 months in 1971. Quick at that time, but unreliable. Valet got it stuck in 1st gear in downtown Dallas, and had to drive in 1st to Precision Motors at 75 and Southwestern. Red line- clutch - roll - repeat. Dad prodded me to buy a sports car and get out of my drag racing phase. I turned down a dark blue '69 Z-28 for $2,250 to buy this piece of crap. It was good for a White Rock Lake cruise with a lady.
