Nice to see everyone again and to meet Tom and Scott there. That Blue on Tom's car is just a beauty and Greg's car is one of my favorites
It was my pleasure meeting all of you as well. Looking forward to many more gatherings. Still working on trying to clear my calander for the 29th. (It's not looking good). Cheers.
Wow that was awesome last night. Thanks a lot for letting me bust in like that I'll have to wait a bit to post the pics I took seeing how I'm not home but anyway thanks for the great time and letting me meet everyone -T P.S. I found my sunglasses!!! YAY!! hahaha
Tim, I sent you a PM. When you have a chance would love to have an electronic copy of the pics you took. Will add to my F-Book I am working on. Cheers.
Tom, thanks for the beer. Did anyone beat Rob's time of 42.045? It was the fastest time I saw posted before I left.
Rob did, with a 42.03something It's nice to see Tom isn't a figment of Jim's imagination after all. Beautiful car, Tom, good to meet you. You too Tim
Our times have remained somewhat consistent, so the karts aren't too flakey like TBC. October 2004 Rob 41.6 David 42.2 (The new ringer!!!) Jim 42.7 Ron 42.8 March 2005 Top 3 Grand Prix times... 1. Rob 42.2 2. Peter 42.5 (this months ringer) 3. David 43.2 (October's ringer - crappy cart this month) June 2005 1. David 42.731 ?. Joshua 44.79 Here's what I'm doing, but know it probably isn't the best 1) Line up at start far right angled a little bit at left apex. 2) Nail gas once tree turns yellow, the delay will launch you right at green. 3) Go over the curbing, not by them. 4) Slow in - Fast out. 5) Because of delay getting back on power, avoid brakes except in the corners you have to brake. I think I was only braking at 6 or 7 places. Anyone try braking without letting the gas up like we did TBC? Any other hints?
My first time there...I got down from 52.5-odd on the first lap to 47.5-odd on the next 2...but I know those extra 5 seconds come a lot harder. My car stalled out 2x and thats why I got out after the third lap.
Tim, Scott, & Tom. Great to meet you guys & I'm looking forward to any of those action karting photos. It was also great to see the usual crew as always. As for my best time, 42.974 but like Rob said I tried to stay off the brakes a much a possible but felt like I was about to spin it completely out towards the end of the course.
I feel like an idot. I forgot to change the ISO so all my pics of the go carts turned out blured but heres some pictures of your Ferraris http://s56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/levelupProductions/First%20meet%20in%20Dallas/ EDIT: If anyone wants to know they found my sunglasses on the slick track AFTER closing LOL!! and there not even damaged...
Perhaps, but you need mercy on that Sega motorcycle game! ;P PS: I'll concede Tillman beat me in the 355CH game though.
My work took us to Speedzone tonight. My best time on the big-kids cars was 43.333 seconds. I know it doesn't count in the F-chat registry, but its certainly an improvement on the last time I was there. The Slick-Track is the only time I've been allowed to "take out" my managers and not get written up for it.
