I wish we would do something like that in Austin. I don't have any Ferraris yet but, I do have some guns.
Around the Ferrari guys I always feel like I don't quite fit in but, around the shooting range I always feel like I fit in.
Nice pic Dave, I wonder where that was taken? I might be up for a range day, but only if Ron brings his cannons.
I'd be up for it! I was at the new mega-Cabela's in Haslet last night ogling the Sig Sauers, telling my wife I wanted to take her shooting sometime while we're here. In fact, this seems to be a necessity, since she pointed to the shelves of rifle scopes and asked what they were...
That's one of the pitfalls of running with GS, all the paparazzi want a shot of Britney's beau. I'm sure that pic made it into some British tabloids.
I didn't know it was open! Is their shooting range operational, or do they even have one? Bass Pro Shops shut theirs down.
Didn't seem to have one. They have everything else you could imagine though, from Cabela's Fudge and Candy Bars to several fish and bass ponds to boat sales to a gun store and vintage rifle sales ($20k rifles!)...
You could take over a small town with what that place sells. It kind of reminds me of next coming of the Republic of Texas outlet store with "not so" discount prices. I couldn't find some C4 explosives for fishing trips & a bear trap for my neighbors cat that keeps me awake with it constant noise. I still wonder about the gas masks over by the bargain cave & bow hunting section. I guess if you cant kill em, gas em!
I would be up for that, I would mainly be interested in skeet. I have a couple rifles though. Ron would go, but I don't think he has anything legal for most ranges. Greg would go, but I don't think his guns are usable anymore. I think they've been used too much.
http://www.alpinerange.com/range_information.htm This place is my favorite outdoor range. They have skeet and trap and sporting clays, and pistol ranges as well as a 50 and 100 yard rifle range. Doesn't say anything about restrictions, but I'll call them and find out. I know you can't shoot FMJ... EDIT: The parking lot is pretty F-Car unfriendly.
Dave; I have not seen too many parking lots at gun ranges that are F-car friendly, mostly Hummer vehicle friendly. I would be interested in the pistol range--have a couple of hand cannons that will turn some heads when they go off.
We have some land up near Texoma I could probably offer up, although the roads are definitely not Ferrari friendly. But, we do adhere to a "no-restriction" policy, as witnessed below. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Damn I wanna shoot that .50 cal!!! I would love to go to any shooting place. I haven't fired a weapon since I left the Army and I wanna see how rusty I've gotten. Sign me up Dave!
We've got FChat guys on here with wicked .50 snipers like that, and others. It's the south, guns are the all-American pastime!
Well someone plz bring theirs to this thing! It would be great to shoot some watermelons with that puppy
