[DFW] Mattel Outlet Update

I have seen those "1/43rds" at ToysRUs, and got the 550 Barchetta.

But when placed alongside traditional 1/43rds in my collection it looks HUGE!!!!

Still, a nice rendition.

Yeah I know but I get a better discount through Mattel.

 

Spotted the 1/43rd Yellow 458's but could justify the price, I was told it might be another month or so until Mattel restocks & updates their i/18th line.

Almost $40 for a 1:43...damn. I got a decent 1:18 HW Elite 430 for $10 less than that on eBay. That's why I prefer eBay.

 

Decided to make a trip up there today, and they had this MP4-16. Just one though.

I think FMoAtl will beat THAT price, they post a lot of the racing version Elites in Collectibles, usually $80 or so....

The 512S does look nice.

 

Still nothing new, went there yesterday to stock up on gifts for the toy run.

Finally an update! I went out there today & picked up a Dino & 410 SA @ 30% off. Some new items in different colors 250 GT SWB in black & a 250 California race car in white, I was told more 1:18th will be coming soon.

Picked this up for about $25 today. Lots of other Elite 1:18 on sale, Mondial, 250 California, etc... @70% off.

Went and got a red 250 California for $30. Better go get one while they last, very few 1:18 Elites left. 1 F10, red/black 250 CA's, and 125S's.

The black 250 CA's are $53, and I think the 125S's are the same.

As far as 1:43's, they had: 312 T2, Mondial 8, Reventon, and Miura Concept, all on sale for $23.99.

 

The problem with the 125S's are the boxes have been opened & the cars are damaged. (Broken steering wheel, missing gear shifter, missing windshield, etc.)

Also, I asked when their 1:18 inventory will be renewed...I heard 3 weeks.

 

The one I looked at had a different box than what the others had. It was sort of like a shoebox. The car did appear fine to me, but I didn't look at it for too long. I think there were only 2-3 left.

 

Excellent looking diecast but good luck with that asking price. Not much new as of now, the Ferraris have been relocated yet again to somewhere in the back of the store.

Yeah, I miss those days of finding a large assortment of them for less than $20, still looking for a 1:18 458 but still not having any luck.

 

Are you looking for an elite and what color?
eBay and some other online stores aren't bad and hobby town USA(multiple locations in dfw area) may have some. Hobby town is very hit or miss though so calling ahead wouldn't hurt.

Just checked and prices on eBay seem really high for something that was worth $80 a year ago

 

There are quite a few 458's on eBay in the $30-$50 price range. They're HW, but not the Elite models. All are red, with the exception of one in Azzurro California.
