I think I'm going to Muenster via the backroads for some German food on Sunday. Anyone interested in going along if the weather's nice? This isn't an organized run, just a casual drive. PM me for details.
There is nothing wrong with a nice Sunday drive, depending on which Sunday that is. I might be up for it. Will
29th doesn't work for me, I'll be nursing a bottle and mourning my lost youth Sunday 22nd, leaving from Denton area at 10 AM unless it's raining At some point, I'll pull over and take the 100,000 mile pic
I'm in +1 Note: a couple weeks ago 82 was freshly oiled + 373 , bridge was out due to past flooding, may be fixed by now. Steve
Bump Last call, weather looks OK for tomorrow (slight chance of showers, but it's summertime in Texas, that's expected) If it's only the 4 cars, that's perfectly fine too
Good eats parking lot. Don't take 35e , its a parking lot from sneaky petes north across lake, been sitting in traffic for over 45 mins !
I'm in Carrollton and its 9:55 AM, so I don't think I can make it in time. I should have gotten in gear faster. I would have like to join the drive. Thanks for the info on the meeting spot.
Honestly, if you leave now, take the Tollway to 380 west into Denton , you will beat us there! 35 is closed just north of the lake , the others are waiting for those of us stuck in traffic...
Thanks to everyone who came along! It was a great day for a drive, and a fun collection of cars. Here's to another 100,000 miles Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Excellent sized turn out considering the obstacles ( read: accident closing I-35 North down ) great roads ( uh, watch out for those extension cords arcoss the highway ) and even better lunch an conversation. Thank you for having a Lotus along. See you at Carson's in a week. Steve
Tillman, Thanks for setting up the drive and inviting us along. The route was great and the company first-class. Well done. The exotic repair shop I mentioned, which has worked on a couple of my cars but really specializes in Ferrari's, is Steve Bynum's place. He is in Frisco, but is also mobile and can come to your home or office when needed. Call Steve at (972) 334-9751 and tell I sent you over. He seems pretty good and reasonably priced. Scott Black
