Newspaper coverage of auto related stories in DFW (not Motorsports)

  1. I seek out the Dallas Morning News auto coverage

  2. I seek out the Fort Worth Star Telegram auto coverage

  3. I read both very often

  4. The Dallas coverage is pitiful and don't bother

  5. The Fort Worth coverage is pitiful and don't bother

  6. I don't read the paper but get my info elsewhere

Ok there is a reason for this one...

In the DFW we have 2 major newspapers

    Fort Worth Star Telegram
    Dallas Morning News

    Do you subscribe to either/both
where do you purchase them if you don't
How often do you read the paper and how often do you read the automotive coverage.
I am going to post a poll with this but could you all please put down your feedback regarding the automotive coverage in each. Do you seek out either or do you pass over what is there.

I have my opinions that i will keep to myself for now.

I subscribe to the Startle-gram and read it daily. I don't get automotive info from it. Come to think of it, I don't really get much fresh info from it at all.

I just get my information from the web, there are so many sources that provide daily information rather than limited only to the Saturday Automotive edition or a sporadic article from the business section.

When I had the McLaren for three days I called both the Star-Telegram and the Morning News to offer them a chance to do an article on it. The Star never returned the call and The Morning News said that their readers would not be interested in a car they could never afford and passed on even coming over a seeing it. Oh well, it just gave me more time to drive it.........

The "coverage" is mostly about what sposoring dealer is doing to drive sales, introduce a new car; come on down.., or about a personnel promotion within the company.
All subjects that have little interest to me.
I used to jump on the DMN classifieds every Friday to search Porsche, Ferrari Etc.for sale but with the internet taking over the offerings in ANY paper are less important.

I had the McLaren while at Moritz BMW and they bought loads of advertising space in the Fort Worth paper. It still did not matter....duh!!!!!!!!!! I moved on to FoD a year or so later.
