I fired my pool cleaning company today, after I made the mistake of looking at my pool equipment today. My pump was leaking and wouldn't prime, my DE filter was pushing 50lbs of pressure, etc., etc.. On top of that, their prices have increased 50% over the last 3 years.

So, does anyone use a service they'd recommend? I need cleaning and chemicals provided, and they must be reliable.

    Thanks.

Good thing you caught it before it got worse. Consider yourself lucky!

Don could probably refer you to reliable source, and he lives closer to you.

Bob with RSPS (you would think I would remember his last name after several years of knowing him). He comes to the house every Friday morning without fail and has even repaired and replaced components for us when necessary (at lower prices than we were quoted by Leslie's, etc.). Give him a call and see what you think. You can tell him that John and Kelly from Plano sent you.

Do it yourself, I fired my pool cleaner because of the same problems.

I do mine too. Once you get it stable, it ought to be a piece of pie. Unless you have overhanging trees or golfers dropping a lot of crap in your pool.

Children can also be trained to take care of some of the simpler tasks. Boys normally love playing with the chemicals.

    Jim,

We use a guy and he is really good and very reasonable. I have to get the name and number from the wife. Call me later and I should have it.

I would check with Don Rose, I think he provides pool cleaning services. I know he does the repairs.

Do it MYSELF? Do you guys not know me at ALL?

My pool is really big, and the chemicals alone justify the price of a service. Plus, I can't tell you how many pants/shoes/shirts I've ruined because I think "I'll just run out and shock the pool real quick".

Don pointed me to these guys. They do good work, although we had some scheduling issues for a bit early on. The pool hasn't looked this good in a long time (now I just need to get it replastered, and the rock work redone....it never ends!)

I'm in Valley Ranch. Does Riviera do quality repairs, not just cleaning (replacement heater installation).
