This is a link to an article and video of the first victory by a Shelby GT 350 at Green Valley Raceway. Saw it courtesy of Tomy Hamon, who's dad owned a Ford dealership in Houston, and raced GT 350's, a Cobra, and a GT 40. I met Tomy when I sold him an older cousin's Autokraft Cobra, assembled at the old AC factory in England. Great guy, and a current Ford GT owner as well. I was just notified and joined the Facebook page, Green Valley Raceway Drag Strip. It has some photo's and information you have not seen in this thread. Thanks to local musclecar icon Brian R. for giving me the head's up on this page ! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Does anyone have photos of the great dragsters sponsored by Scotty's Auto Supply that raced at Green Valley Raceway (some had gold plated engines!) or souvenirs of any type with the Scotty's logo? I'm Scotty's daughter. Dad passed away 4 years ago and I'd be grateful to go down memory lane!
You might look on the Green Valley Raceway page on Facebook. A lot of pics have been put on there. Best of luck on your search.
