So what do you all want to do? Speedzone, D&B, maybe something else? I'm open to suggestions. Is the Samba Room still open? Or is it too hot for the patio? Oh, and I heard a rumor that the affectionados of a certain British brand were holding practices at Speedzone in preparation of offering challenges in the future
I'd vote D&B if I had a vote. Speedzone has almost become too difficult to race until the kids go back to school.
Actually, some of the schools are going to be starting school the day before second tuesday for August. If you guys are interested in going to Javier's, I can ask them to reserve either the patio or a section in the cigar bar. Let me know...whatever you guys decide is good.
Just keep in mind that Javiers is a restaurant. A Frances kind of restaurant. We can sit and drink and smoke, but not much else. Oh, and eat.
I'm following Tillman's lead...he mentioned the Samba Room. Similar to Javier's, you can only hang out, eat, drink, and smoke there too. Prices are similar for food/appetizers but no indoor cigar bar with A/C. If you guys want to "do" more than hang out and smoke cigars, then neither the Samba room or Javier's will be suited to do much more than what's already been mentioned.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Javiers. You know that! It's just something pretty different that what we usually do.
Let'***** D&B this month and we'll look into Javiers or Samba Room for Sept when it may be a bit cooler
Bump da bump Our Tuesday event returns to Dave and Busters! Food, beverages and video games, and a host of Ferrari enthusiasts. We usually gather in the front bar area around 6:30pm D & B is located on I-35 at the Walnut Hill Road Exit, approximately 15 minutes north of downtown Dallas and 2 minutes south of I-635 (LBJ Freeway). 10727 Composite Dr Dallas, Tx, 75220 Click here for map and driving directions
I think I will run home, pull the car cover off the car, throw on some jeans and come have a martini. Just saw traffic om 635 East bound is stopped.
Small crowd tonight, but still a good time. The first thing my son said as we drove away was "I beat Tillman in that race!". Sorry T!
