Before anyone starts reading tabloid headlines regarding Di Resta replacing Schumacher, understand now that it is false and nothing more then tabloids being tabloids.

The conjecture which started this are tabloid reporters stating that because Di Resta is the reigning DTM champion and currently driving an MB powered F1 car (Force India) that IF Schumacher were to quit by the end of the season that Di Resta would be the obvious choice. If that were to happen (which I highly doubt) than I have to agree with them.

That being said, I believe Di Resta should get a better drive as he is clearly a talent. So many good drivers on the field.......

I've been very impressed with DiResta. hopefully he gets a better ride, if not this year then next.

Is he under contract to Mercedes?

MS has reiterated he intends to full fill his 3 year commitment to mercedes. I doubt he'll leave early. He's been making progress, albeit slowly.

Preface: In the past I have been an ardent Schumacher supporter. And I had grown to believe that MS was fooling himself in making a serious run for another championship.

However, Sundays drive impressed me a lot (for the first time in a couple years.) The car is not ready to make a serious run, yet; however.

hahaah! always good for a laugh.

The reporter who started this is another Scottsman who is of course capitalising on his talented fellow Scottsman Di Resta. Can't blame him!

Whether MS retires this year or not is totally up to him and I'm sure if you'd ask him about it, he couldn't give you an answer as it all depends on how the season and the car develops.

I'm sure we'll hear endless speculation throughout this season over Rosberg, MS, Massa and Webber's seats. And who knows, they might not relinquish any.
