I'm just alittle curious cause I've seen some weird 6 speed converisons everything from classic american muscle cars to panteras to porsche 944, 911, and 930 not to mention the acura nsx early years and even a 348. So would a murci 6 speed manuel even fit? Or would it have to be a custom built tranny Maybe over in Japan some of thier turners might of tried it. As I said this is out of pure wonder cause who knows what some people do with thier cars. But it would be cool to find out if anybody ever tried and if it worked.

i do not know if it has been done, i never seen one

sure it may be possible to put a 6 speed gearbox on
i even think the murcie 6 speed shuold be doable with some modifications

but honestly it is not worth the effort, the time for developing and sorting out and the $$ spent into it

the diablo engine has a wide torque and power range, it does not really need 6 speed imo

the regular gear ratios are a bit too long if i had to find a fault, there are some cars (SV, GT, ec...) that had an optional short gearbox that should be perfect.

i think the rare Jota cars (less than 30 in total) with the power more "on the top", are the only diablos that may really benefit of a 6 speed gearbox.

I think it could be done also , but i would only attempt to do it if i had a car with a blown trani and i had a 6 speed laying around or could find one at a decent price , the 5 speed in the Diablo is a very impressive and easy to drive, the power the motor makes and the gear ratios make a beautiful song , My Diablo has the Larini system , it just honks through the gears, like a favorite song .

No, all Diablos including SE are 5 speed. No need for six speed because torque curve is very wide. Imo, six speeds are largely a result of marketing, with the buying public thinking more is better when it isn't necessarily so. I only see six speeds being better with an electronic system like F1, egear, or cambiacorsa, because the computer can rip through the gear changes super fast. With a manual, the time lost in making the extra shifts can actually make you slower from say, 0 to 100 mph, or in a 1/4 mile ET. I like the KISS (keep it simple stupid) concept.

    Hmmm, ok...

I just see the SE30 Jota being said to have a 6 speed at LamborghiniRegistry, Lambocars, **************, Conceptcarz, Autoevolution, Wikicars.org... etc, etc...

They are wrong. Not the first or last time all these guys get things wrong. Often they copy information from each other and the error spreads virally.

Yeah, happens with other stuff too. Still surprises me that it's being said at ILR...
