did you remember when i told the stock diablo exhaust weights a TON

well, i put it the big square muffler alone (without tips, bolts, connectors, cats, etc...) on the scale

....and it is drum roll ;) ....a bit over 85 lbs!

    Dear Lamborghinisti,

Here is my Diablo VT Roadster with the fully polished Quicksilver stainless steel exhaust system. The headers are polished stainless steel with a Jethot coating. The secondary cats have been replaced with polished resonators and still uses the OEM thermocouples and OEM exhaust tips.

...if you own a VT Roadster.....you WILL replace the headers :(

Fully polished exhaust $11,500.00 with headers, all gaskets, bolts, exhaust donuts

    Very nice!

    How about weight and hp?

I think once I'll have my Diablo I will go with the Capristo headers and exhaust.

    Cheers!

    very nice

with all your sistem i am positive you removed almost 100 lbs from the car

as for roadster, i think the issue is for the US-cats cars
euro roadster headers seem to hold better

    Dear Lamborghinisti,

I've never heard of these either. Quicksilver is the only ones that make headers as far as I know. They did allot of testing work with George Evans of Evans Automotive when they were developing them....specifically for the VT Roadster.

To be honest I never saw them directly but Nick Forza talks about them. Maybe like Tubi it is a special order.

They should look like the ones on picture.

About Ti and Inconel, I would love to have them made of these materials, is it possible and offered for Diablos?

Is there people here on Lchat who installed exhaust and//or headers made of these really exotic materials?

Capristo exhaust looks very nice (and a bit complicated )

as for weight saving any sport muffler should shave at least 60 lbs on any diablo model

and there is more to be gained with cat by pass, headers, tips, etc... it would be nice to know what all the stock parts on Shamile's car weight

i add a pic of this heavy box muffler (not mine...but they are all the same i think)

    as for the roadster headers:
i think the issue is most for 4 cats - US cars (i am tempted to say only...)

after hearing about many failed headers on diablo roadsters i thought i was going to buy a set but once the engine was out, i was surprised to see my headers were fine after 13 years of worck

i have yet to see failures on euro roadsters

yes, 4 OEM tips bolts directly on the ANSA SS exhaust: looks completely stock from outside and no modification needed

i am still thinking about the dual tips...if i cannot find a set i will likely have my friend at ANSA worck on something ;)

i did not hear yet...but i will try to make a video!

we started the car for first time yesterday and it sounds very nice: the ANSA has a deep roar at idle
now i have to find out how it sounds on the road changing at 7k rpm >:)

i also bought OEM murcielago dual tips from Roy and should arrive in a weeck
now i have to choose what tips to put on...either way i am happy to have both options
