Motorscar International/Springfield, Mo currently has in its inventory a yellow 98SV with a OEM GT body kit. Check it out. I saw it in person last wk/end with my own eyes and it is CRAZY looking and just OVER THE TOP.

M.I informed me this is a first prototype OEM kit of its kind, made entirely of carbon fiber and Lamborghini is looking to test market. The carbon fiber kit is priced at approximately $20k plus another $5 for installation. According to M.I, this kit is designed to fit all non-roadster diablos. Tempting :)

Has anyone done this or heard of any others?

OMG!!!! Now that is awesome! I hope they make more and Lamborghini markets it. Is the roof and doors carbon fiber to?
It would be cool to see a unpainted Carbon fiber bodied Diablo :)

ENTIRE BODY is carbon fiber......I've seen a lot of unique things in my life but standing next to this monster sends chills and shockwaves....Couldn't have gotten its images out of my mind for days afterward....

Shouldn't the little intakes on both sides of the boot (hood) be painted body color? Also, I'm not sure what it's called but the thing at the bottom of the rear bumper should be unpainted carbon fiber.
See my Diablo GT photos: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=82509

Is the wing carbon fiber also? It looks matte black.

Either way I think it looks awesome.

    Mike,

Could very well be. You'd know with your knowledge base. I'm typically clueless when it comes to intimate details of cars. I couldn't tell you if it's sitting out in my garage. It's ridiculous embarrasing. I just drive them if I own them and admire from afar if I don't. Thanks for sharing the pics. Love your archives. Will know where to source next time.

That is what happened to me, when this really hot sales lady, came to the office and bent over to show me some of her merchandise and sales samples.

Tom, I too have seen this car many times at MCI and cannot get it out of my head. It truley is awesome. I want this car. I have been trying to work out a purchase on it, but I feel the price is a little high. I know they have the money in the car, but it still is an SV. BTW, did Randy tell how they came about doing the conversion?

Mike, some of the paint work on the care is not exactly as a gt. They thought it looked better with some of the black accents. The wing is a standard SV wing. The package does work well on this car.

I dunno. I guess standing alone the car might be fabulous. But, put it next to the real thing, and i think you'll see why there is a big difference in price.
