Just saw the new Michael Bay Movie "Pain and Gain" set in Miami in '94 and '95

They use a violet diablo roadster (vt?)

Beautiful car. Good movie off a true story.

Can anyone elaborate on the car in the movie and if there was also a diablo roadster in the real life story?

The car is real. It's a 97. Only 97 in that color. If memory is correct, there is basically one in this color for every year roadster...The car in the movie is for sale in Miami. It needs A LOT of attention. Let's just leave it at that.

    Ok back on topic...

Those were good links. Thanks much. I read that the owner of the diablo also had a blue Vector among other exotics. They said his cars made him a target for these bad guys.

    I highly recommend the film.

Kevin will confirm I've spent some time thinking about buying this car. Prestige say they will take $107k for it.......which really means they will take $100k or slightly less. The car has its charms, but does need work.

Haven't seen the movie, but read the NY Times story. The way they handled the first victim was kind of comical, but then its hard to imagine finding humor in the way they then killed and dismembered the other two.

Thanks. I knew of one here some years ago and wondered where it ended up.

The car looked beautiful in the movie. It was definitely a harsh reality of what happened to the victims. Good movie though.
