why are they so much more expensive than the regular 6.0 diablo. i know they are limited production, but so was the 40th anniversary murcielago, and those seem to be going for just as much as the other murcielagos. the diablo se is around 80k-100k more? just an inquiry. thanks.

IIRC, Diablo 6.0SEs were priced the same as the regular cars and had a hard time selling.

I know car No. 14 sat for over a year. I almost bought it when it had 276 miles on it (that changed after a 3 hour test drive) - and it currently has 47k and has been hit a few times.

Unless there are some very special features to them (they do have a different weave on the interioer CF), I wouldn't consider paying much of a premium. They are functionally no different from the factory out of the box.

NO NO BOB.....There ARE major differences....

Yes the weave is Titanium, instead of blue fiber in all the carbon, BUT..

Motor has MAGNESIUM heads, LARGER ports and FINER worked throthel bodies, hooked to a LOWER geared trany and seperate exhasut system that documents the car to be 2/10ths faster than the reg 6.0 and 3 MPH top end. Also ALL se UNITS, 20 Brown, 22 Gold and 3 RHD off color units were fitted with the EURO ECU'S, as were the USA cars, (6.0) had their ECU'S RETARDED, for they were the ones tested by EPA and the like at 3500 PM and above. The SE coming at the end WAS NOT such a test peformed, and with its limited numbers to the USA, 6 Brown and 8 Gold.....well it just slipped by. It has been documented that the SE is approx 40-45 HP more than the reg 6.0

It also comes with electric seats, (back portion), different lighter perferated seats and a slighlty different HAT on the heavier brake system, (quicker stopping distance).

The car also features DIFFERENT leather than the standard 6.0, a much smoother younger hide, which unlike the reg died colors is actually dipped. The stitching on the SE is a leather compund were as the reg 6.0 is a material compuond. The seats and leather used on the 6.0 SE came from a differnt in house team than the reg 6.0. It also comes in one of two colors, GOLD or the BROWN, that has since been retired and will never again appear on any LAMBORGHINI, at least from the FACTORY. Both colors, a PPG GLOBAL OIL base paint are way more exspensive than the standard PPG GLOBAL WATER base paint. That is the MAIN reason for the in person unbelievable debth and shine. The metalic flakes added to both colors are larger and of a finer mat than the reg 6.0........

The car also DID not MSRP for the same, it was approx $15K more, it did after sitting, due to its colors, fall below other 6.0 pricing, but since has come back......

I know of ONLY 1 6.0 in Canada NEW still for sale....asking price $285K USA and one in Europe, NEW asking price $275K USA......

I for one will not part with my 6.0 SE #19.....

I KNOW from many runs that it is NOTICABLY quicker and higher end than the reg 6.0. PERIOD!!
