I dug up some photos I took (and one a friend took much later) of the first SVR I was around. This was back in 2001 in Arizona, and If anyone's seen this car or has any clue about it's current whereabouts or it's travels between then and now, I'd love an update (given that situation it, and my countach, and some other bulls were in when these were taken)!

Humm, are we looking for ghosts here? Maybe the one of the self proclaimed expert Ferrari/Lamborghini mechanic from Arizona that is no longer with us do to a bullet or two in the head? You know they are still investigating his murder. Oops, I let the cat out of the bag.

The yellow GTR is the sexiest, meanest Diablo I've seen.

OK here is the rest of the story. Although it seems brutal, sometimes the punishment "FIT'S THE CRIME". To bad all of the "SELF PROCLAIMED EXPERTS" that are not experts don't suffer the same demise.

No leads in '01 death at airpark
    COLD CASE OF THE WEEK
    Dec. 31, 2004 12:00 AM

The headline from a story dated July 27, 2001, read, "Slaying in Scottsdale is city's 14th this year."

The story began: A Phoenix man was shot and killed late Wednesday or early Thursday in an industrial complex at the Scottsdale Airpark, pushing Scottsdale's single-year homicide total to a record 14.

    When and where:

    A 38-year-old exotic-car dealer's bullet-riddled body was found at 14715 N. 78th Way, Scottsdale, early July 27, 2001.

He was survived by his wife and his then-13-year-old son.

    Summary:

Scott Allen Ponsolle of Phoenix was probably shot at about 10 p.m. the night before, according to witnesses. Police say he had arranged to meet with a customer at the airpark at approximately that time July 26.

Ponsolle's body was found by an employee arriving for work in the industrial complex around 6 a.m. July 27.

Ponsolle had been both the defendant and plaintiff in several civil lawsuits, some of them involving his former business venture, Motor Sports Concepts of Scottsdale. The company had filed for bankruptcy before Ponsolle was killed.

Scottsdale police spokesman Sam Bailey said the victim also was accused of failing to complete work on customers' vehicles.

That combination made it difficult to isolate one particular suspect or motive for the killing, police say.

No witnesses to the crime have stepped forward with information for police, though the area is surrounded by businesses, restaurants and the Rural/Metro Fire Department's Airpark fire station.

    Investigators:

Scottsdale Police Department homicide unit investigators.

What bothers them most about this case:

Police have virtually no investigative leads at this time, but detectives are still actively working on the case.

    How you can help:

Call Scottsdale police at (480) 312-5000 or Silent Witness at (480) WITNESS.

The Arizona Republic is teaming with Valley law enforcement investigators to highlight a cold case every week. The hope is that readers with information about a case will call or e-mail police or Silent Witness (1-800-343-TIPS) and help solve a crime.

From all the dust sitting on it, looks like it'd been sitting somewhere for months. Looks great, but I have no info. Sorry.

Who ever secured that car to the trailer needs a few lessons. I'm surprised it stayed on the trailer and I'll bet it has some paint damage.

LOL!! Okay, so I am not the only one that saw those pictures and thought, 'Man...those tow straps are going to cause some damage stretched across the car like that'. :)

Case closed as far as I'm concerned. Can't speak for the value of the one on the other end of the gun, but as far as I'm concerned, having to get to know the one on the receiving end... I can't really say it's tragic.

The photos that are credited to ElecMoHwk, I took. This was supposedly right after getting out of the LA docks customs area, and being hauld to AZ. It was a crappy place it was in, a HUGE outdoor garage, made to hold about 10 lifts and work areas... but never completed beyond a big shell of a building, ****ty concrete floor, and lots of dust... There were several cars that ended up that dirty, mine included, but dust was not the concern there.

The photo credited Josh Seigel was taken later, after the car was moved to CA, after Mr. Ponsolle's death. It was paired with a dark blue SVR, but I lost track of them since. They were in the Monterey / San Jose area from what I understand at that time.
