Lamborghini had so many 'Special Editions' for the Diablo that the normal ones are almost the most rare examples :)

I googled the Lambo and it said there was only one made. I just bought a new Lambo 560-4 and I need to call the dealer about something else. I will ask them if Lambo makes one of a kind special cars. I know they make special limited addition cars but to one of a kind is a little hard to believe. I can see special cars with 100 made world wide

I called the dealer I bought my lambo 560-4 less than a month ago. He indicated Lamboginni does not do special one and only one of a kind cars. They do make limited addition but for World wide sales they are usually 1000 cars or more.

He did say that you can spec out a car, i.e. pick exterior color, seat material etc, than you can call it what "YOU" like.

So based on that I would be doubtful. It is still probably a very nice car.

I beg to differ on the knowledge of the salesman. I know of one, one of one from the factory Diablo.

I talked to the foreman of the Lambo dealer shop.

You may be right? I do not have an ax in this battle. :)

Me neither although Im sure Lambo would do this sort of thing no problem for a few extra bucks and depending on the status of the buyer etc. Personally I think its not factory at all. Its very random to have so many stamps all over the place but is that Versace back then?

May be a nice car but i dont buy the claim. Would be cool though if true and quite unique indeed, especially seeing as there is a successor in the Murcielago Versace.

In just the Diablo range there are SE30s, Alpine Editions, Monterrey Editions, and the 6.0 SE, all special editions numbering far less than 1000 each...

In fact, I can't think of a "limited edition" Lamborghini that comes anywhere near 1000 examples, considering the company makes so few cars in the first place.

    Dear Lamborghinisti,

Lee....topcarbon is poking you with a smile. You don't know but he owns the special one of one "Forbes Diablo" made specifically for the late Malcolm Forbes.

...special touches like the gold intakes with exterior color script matches....etc etc.

....too bad he likes to wear flip flops when driving his "manly" machine :D

Let's not forget the Victorias Secret edition of which there was only one made. My favorite part is how they merely inverted the letters from the 'SV' edition to yield the 'VS' edition. As for the dealer quoting on special editions he quite frankly knows less than nothing about Lamborghini.

    1. Look at production numbers for Lamborghini. They just hit 4000 for the full Murcielago line since 2002 and that is a huge number for them as the Diablo run was about half that much. A 1000 unit or anywhere near production is massive for Lamborghini.

    2. Historically there are tons of examples of Lamborghini doing special things for customers. From special colours, to interesting options, custom engines, and even misdeclaring VIN numbers to beat local tax authorities.

I always figured that the VS Diablo was custom, not done by the factory...

    LOL !!!! Kosmo.....good one.

The interior is not really special in any way, shape or form.

Sounds like the kind of marketing that I could do locally......I'll leave my LV wallet in the glovebox of my SMART car and call it a 1 of 1 LV special edition.
