We were driving in town yesterday (Houston), when we came up on a Countach. My 11 year old daughter was excited by it, so when we got home I pulled up Autotrader to show her how the doors worked.

And I saw 5 or 6 Diablos at the $100k or less price (early 90s). I didn't think any could be had for that money. Are these poorly maintained salvage cars, or can good cars be had for that? Next year I'm going to do something at around $100k (another Porsche Turbo, Gallardo, F430, Murci?,R8).

If there is anyone who has their finger on the pulse of Diablo pricing, it has to be Roy Cats, who should be along shortly to answer your questions...

91-94 cars have been <$100k for a few years; from what I can tell, some 91/92s are trading hands in the high 70s-low 80s.

It all depends on condition and miles. Like ryalex said, some good drivers with miles are below 100K, but early ones that are very low miles or something special are still up there.

    Dear Lamborghinisti,

When I grow up, I want to be just like Roy... :D

But yeah, they're under $100K due to the recession but better check it out. These cars cost alot to maintain and some skimp on what really needs to be done to keep the car in top form.

I am getting ready to go out..LOL It's just everytime I go out..everyone ask's me if I have a brother with a Lambo Roadster that lives in Florida..

91-93 cars yes sub 100K and a great deal, espicaly for the do it yourself car guy..

94 cars, good SE30 cars FORGET IT

95-98 cars best ones are still over 100K, and if a roadtser add $125K plus for a real decent car

97-99 SV cars, 115K plus for decent cars

    2001 6.0 cars start at 125K for a good car..and over 160K for a preium car

IMO, the cars to only go up..well taken care off, good records, (miles not major..after all when was the last Miura you saw with 25k on it lol)

94 se30 CARS (only 25 ever for the USA)

97-99 Roadster's (99 top off the food chain due to the dash change and other items)

97-99 SV cars (99 due to the same as above AND again ONLY 25 99 SV cars to the USA)

2001 6.0 cars (espicaly the last 40 Vin or so, AND the SE at the top of those)

Thanks for this guide. My wife saw a bunch of Lambos at the Bella Italia show yesterday and wants one...great, looks like I'll need to get a job again!

I can't wait till they drop a little more. They are getting well within my price range

The only thing that worries me about buying an early diablo is the maintaince. My buddy has one and he pays like 10k or more per year.

Buy a good one, do the normal maitenance and you'll come nothing close to that. I've had my 91 for years with no problems.

Hate to say this..but if your "buddy" is spending 10k a year on "regular service" for his Diablo..there is something wrong with either the car or his driving habits.
