    Is there anyone who uses the diagnostic plug on the left under the hood, so on the driver's side E? If so, with which device and what can you see with it?

    I use it. I just hook up an o-scope to the pins for the sensor I want to monitor.

    We also used to use it as a source for B+ to run instruments.

    It was installed for the use of the Ferrari Jofatron whose only redeeming value was to determine if the Digiplex's or Microplex programmed advance curves were correct. Digiplex's did have a reputation for problems in that area.
