IF you want complete diagnostic access then the SD series testers or the Lenardo unit are your choices. If you want to access the generic information then there are a lot of cheaper software/hardware options available. Just understand you will be very limited as to what you can diagnose/access/change. Google Elmscan.

Durametric is just about to introduce affordable Ferrari diagnostic tools for owners and professionals. 360 tool will be first and F430 next. Should be less than $2000 for a single model tool that will be able to do just about everything the SD1/2/3 can do.

So far there is no other tester that will give you all the information.

As for the F-40 there is a specific Magnetti marelli tester for that and is close to impossible to get at this point and none of the other testers, not even the generic ones will work.

Not to be rude, but if I had that much money involved in cars, then $20K for a Leonardo would not be a dent in the investment. I'm puzzled.

The Leonardo will do F40 very shortly, the software is almost completed, they have all the Marelli IAW in house, plus Giovanni is an F40 guy, he just finished restoring one recently, the Leonardo works on the 430's and as most of you know part of the 458 software is already in the machine, the rest of the 458 should be completed within the next 30-60 days if all goes well.

The Leonardo is same price for all customers all over the world, Ferrari & Maserati software at this time is $19,995.00 USD. Optional Lamborghini is and additional $4995.00 plus shipping.

With the exchange rate at this time between the Euro & USD that makes it just under $15,000 EURO including shipping to Spain. That includes the first year software license and technical support in English, Spanish or Italian. Contact me and I will give you some more details

I waited for the Durametric, as I have their Porsche tool (exceptional) and their BMW tool (as weak as imaginable). I quit waiting after well over a year. I met Nick at Forza at the SEMA show and bought the Leonardo on the spot. It has worked for me a few times, but I would like it to be stronger in a few areas. I am being patient (abundantly) but I will expect results or some sort of corrective measure on the price of the software license if my needs cant be met. I am sure that wont be an issue.

Hmm. Obviously you haven't done your research on the Leonardo machine. Also, what the hell does"learning mode on the clutch" of a 430 mean? Are you talking about the re-learn for the torque transmitabillity curve?
