My xbox 360 is a defect. It happened Sunday, i was playing and it just turned off. I tried to turn it back on but the lights around the power button started to flash red. I called customer service and they sent a prepaid box, i sent the xbox to them yesterday. Stupid Bill Gates.
I'm kinda glad I didn't bust my balls trying to get one.... it sounds like it is having overheating problems.
my xbox 360 has been working flawlessly I do hear tomorrow retailers will be restocking shelves... Target especially www.xbox-scene.com for more xbox goodies
Sorry to hear that. A thread title mentioning the 360 would be helpful - being in OOT there was a 30% chance this thread was about breast implants!
there was an article in the local paper talkin about problems with it so far, but less than normal for electronics...then again it hasnt even been out for a minute
Armen. WHERE DID YOU STAND YOUR POWER SUPPLY??? The problem is not actually with the Xbox itself, just with the power supply. That is what needs to be cooled. If it stuffs up, the xbox need a tech code to reset it. Only MS and service techs have that code. So remember to everyone that buys an Xbox360.... KEEP THE POWER SUPPLY AND UNIT IN A CLEAR AND OPEN SPACE Dont sit it on Carpet, and try to put it in a space where there is natural airflow. These babies run hot due to all the load that the GPU's are under. Watch PS3 trump the Xbox360 when it gets released....
a kid that went to my hs created a water cooled computer, seems like this would be VERY helpful why the fudge whould they make it unable to be easily cooled for...dumb@sses!!!!!!!!!
Because some dumbass at microsoft thought that by rushing and bringing out the Xbox360 earlier will win the market over PS3. Just you wait. PS3 will make you all ask "What's an Xbox again??" And yeah, the problem is that the PSU gets way too hot, and the system locks up and needs a reset after that.
I knew it was something with the power supply. My friend had the same exact problem as me, and he somehow fixed it. I found out yesterday, after i sent it in already. They said its going to take a few weeks to get back, bastards.
Like I posted sooo many times before.... (on various forums) http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/sep/EEFkZkkkyEHasmrPqu.php btw, sorry for your misfortune.
Surprised? HA! Microsoft (Like most companies) squeezes every tenth of a penny out of 97% of the components that make up their products. They will have at least two suppliers on 98% of the components. Manufacturers get in the door by dangling a good price. Once 'IN', if they do a good sales job with the engineers to get their parts design in the product, it comes down to price over quality is they are on the approved vendoe list. Their buyers will most always buy on price. For every $.25 they save, they can hire four more engineers to develop more new products.
Are you experiencing any side effects as a result of post-traumatic stress disorder? Does this impede the function of your daily life? Just asking the usual lawyer questions, so I can determine if I can "get you the money you deserve!"
While I feel that NASA, Boeing, Airbus or other transit machinery providers shouldn't necessarily take the lowest bidder, Xbox is just a toy and I wouldn't expect much more.
