    Replacing the fuel vapour separator

We would like to inform You that Ferrari S.p.A. has decided to implement a preventive recall campaign for your [model] vehicle, with chassis number [VIN]. Specifically, corrective action is required which involves replacing the fuel vapour separator. This intervention is necessary as a result of the supplier\\\\\\\'s delivery of a batch of components that does not comply with the specifications. What might happen? This possible non-conformity may cause the fuel to evaporate and the vehicle to ignite. What action will Ferrari S.p.A. take? On receipt of this notice, you are kindly requested to contact your dealer or another Authorised Ferrari Service Centre urgently to book an appointment to carry out the corrective action. This service will be carried out promptly and free of charge. If the vehicle has been sold or loaned to someone else in the meantime, you are kindly requested to use the attached form to provide us with any information you may have which may help us locate the owner or user, or contact Ferrari Customer Care at the toll-free number [CC tel]. To book the procedure or for any other queries or requests, please contact one of your local dealers.

P.s: my car is brand new 488 Spider (2019) delivered last month.

My 2018 488GTS has an airbase recall. When I spoke with the dealer to schedule the airbag replacement. I asked them about the fuel vapor separator. They told me that my car was not affected as it was mostly applicable to most limited and special edition cars.

2018 488 Spider, and received the airbag recall notice, but read the vapor canister recall notice on the forum last week. Dealer will schedule the airbag "soon," but did not know about the vapor canister, wanted to check and get back to me.

I got a call from my dealer, and informed they gonna take my car for two days for full checkup and to check the issue mentioned in my first post.

Also they will do the necessary checkup for the upcoming track after which is after 10 days :)

Will update you here for any progress regarding the issue.

    Cheers

This was the reason for all my check engine lights from last summer. After spraying a soapy solution on the welds, a very small leak was found. No check engine lights since.

    Update:

My dealer called me and said there is a small part in my car that they gonna replace it related to the issue mentioned in my original post.

Did not ask much questions as I am not that technical person. As long as my car will be fixed for whatever is the reason, i will be more than happy to have it back in a good shape

It will take two days, so im gonna miss my lovely Ferrari when coming back from work and not find it there :(

Tomorrow im gonna visit my dealer to have a cup of coffee with GM. so if you have any question about this issue, i will be more than happy to ask them and post the answer here.

    Cheers

    Update:

Just received my car today and they replaced some parts related to the issue mentioned in my original post.

Asked the technician and told me most 488 Spider 2019 have this issue and some 488 Spider 2018 have this issue ad well.

Happy to see my car back in my garage:)

Next week is the track day wohooooo. Gonna use my GoPro in different angles and will share my first track experience here in a new thread.

    Regards
