Sometimes my brain goes odd places.

I googled "Ferrari Business Card", and came up with one example of a thank you card he used.

But I wonder, did he actually use a business card, especially after Ferrari became well known as a company? After all, he was ENZO FERRARI. It's not like anyone would wonder who he was, or what he did.

I may have to cross post this in Vintage, as there are a few guys over there who might know.

yes - he did use a card as way of introduction (Old school)
About 7 years ago I bought a Ferrari signed thank-you note complete with envelope and his personal card. What I have seen is typically the notes are typed and he signs and often includes a personal card.

Here's my small framed shrine with the envelope, signed card and personal card. I got this many years ago from Ferrari Literature, I believe. The Ferrari sticker was also enclosed in the original envelope. I like this especially as it was signed about the time my car was being made.

I hadn't heard any such thing, but I do recall hearing somewhere that he always wrote in purple ink.

That the one. The former dealer for Montreal was close to Enzo and he has the very same card framed in his shop. Although all Enzo wrote on it was "con cordialissimi".

my "business card" is actually the size of a normal business card. unlike the others shown, it isn't a simple thank you card sent by enzo. the standard enzo card is about 4" x" 6" and not a business card.

the rough translation on the card is:

Dr. Ing. honoris cause knight of the job

what that means is up for debate. i assume "Honorable Doctorate of Engineering......"

"honoris causa" is added to a title when said title has not been achieved via a university as would be the usual way but via outstanding accomplishments. A specific University can then decide wether or not to grant the title.
Seems like Enzo never really studied engineering but instead had it in his blood.

I believe the other title roughly translates to English as the phrase 'Captain of Industry' and is also a granted Honorary Title in Italy.

I received an email flyer for this book: Invito Mostra Ascari

Send it on to Count Volpi, thinking he might want to purchase a book about Ascari. The Count, who knew Enzo well and bought many race cars from him, replied:

"Forgetting to say that (Enzo) Ferrari had his suitcases put in the street outside the Scuderia on Viale Trento-Trieste in Modena. That's how he (Enzo) fired him."
