    Hey Ferrari Gurus!

    Got a weird question:

While detailing and R&R-ing items on my 79 308GTB, I came across the fender panels that house the blower motors.

Guess what I found? The fender rubber that they used was consistent with the other fenders except for one blower motor panel. Only one panel is different, somewhat cheap as the rubber was actually stapled to the aluminum panel. All the rubber and paint looks to be aged the same.

Could the worker have ran out of the standard rubber and substituted this cheap crap and stabled it?

Both parts otherwise are identical and I see NO sign of any front-end damage where something might have been repaired.

    I know it’s a small thing, but weird………..

    Ferraris are an interesting breed.

    Thanks guys, Chris

    Well,

After asking around, it appears that Ferrari (from the factory), might run out of one particular material and literally piece in something else.

Funny, it didn't even appear to be a strange inquiry when I asked the question.....

    Just an F.Y.I. Guys.

    Regrards.

    Chris.
