Did Series M Cars have emergency flasher switch units?

My car has the emergency flasher switch on the left hand side of the dash next to the rheostats. It looks like all the wiring is correct but a couple of tapped in connectors that go into the headlight connector with all the white wires in it looks suspicious. I am wanting to clean up the area and remove the tapped in connectors but I am reluctant until I know for certain they have all been added.

Can anyone help with this info?
