    Why is it that the 348 gets away under the radar with its gearbox issue, but the 355 gets hammered all over the place for valve guide issues. The 348 has a serious problem that more often than not does not get mentioned to new people looking for advice on which car to choose. We all know these gearbox issues exist, no one seems to be able to agree on the cause, but for sure the issue exists, and its super expensive to correct if it does go bad.

    Are you 348 boys so cut up by the cheese graters on your doors that you can't admit your cars are.......... :D

    Yes, that's why you see so many 355s with an antimacassar (doily) on the headrest!!!!

    Are you serious...

    The 348 is the most BASHED ferrari ever produced. Your worried about being abused for valve guides and headers. How about Luca's comments when he bought a 348...how about Forza magazines June 2007 issue...Plenty of other examples of disrespect.

    I had the 348 gear box grenade on me a few years back.....I was amazed they had to use a torch to split the box and there was a room FILLED with parts little gears and gaskets JUST SCARY!!! I paid and on went life...BEN
