    I finally made my PS3 into a media center. I'm using TVersity to stream movies, music and pics to my PS3 from my computer over my network. I also downloaded a few codec packs and programs so that i can get files such as X264 videos to play

    FYI, Windows Media Player will do that also.

    Have you found a detailed list of the formats that the PS3 can and can not play? I run into the occasional issue where I am pretty sure the extension/type is good yet the video encounters an error and can not be played. Time to do more digging.

    But you just gotta love the ease of the PS3 as a media center!

    I hate WMP which is why i chose tversity. Its free anyway so wahtever

    The only format that wouldn't work for me before was X264 and with these 2 codec pack things i downloaded, it works fine although it seems you can't ff/rw without the PS3 freezing. Still, not much of an issue. If i missed something in a movie and want to go back and look, i'll just do it on my computer.
