That is an incredible price for a 348 if in decent driver shape. I've been watching as a potential buyer over the past few months where drivers are in the $45/50k range. Was it a publicly listed sale, or unadvertised private? Any details certainly appreciated, as I've been watching the usual ebay/autotrader/carfinder/etc on pretty much a daily basis.

I believe the car had a little over 40K on it.

    Interesting prices from Monterey.
Seems that 308s are more expensive than 328s...
And not that expensive in the end, compared to Europe.

Great article with the purpose to urge folks into investments in a subtle way.
Like so many dealers try it these days. Just smarter written.

Simple. Never trust market observations and enthusiasm from dealers.

Well, yes its from a dealer so I take it with a grain of salt. However, I didn't read it as something trying to get me to invest as most of the cars he seems to sell are vintage Porsches and have already gone up drastically in value. They aren't cars one can buy cheap with the hopes flipping and making some fast money. One would be buying at the high end, and hoping that someday the car will continue to increase in value, but that person better like the car they bought in case it doesn't. As he basically states values for 80's cars have already risen so people looking to get in on the ground floor may have missed that opportunity, and the next group of cars that may be on the rise are cars of the 90's. Maybe he is subtly suggesting buy cars from the 1990s, but if you follow Porsches (which are his specialty), it has already been happened with Turbo 3.6s, 993s and 993 Turbos. Cheers!
