Hey guys, Does anyone know if the 348 cars came new with what appears to be a flat, red plastic key that is packaged inside an almost credit card like plastic surround? I hope I'm explaining it correctly. Any tips welcome. Thank you.
Nope, not original. That thing is all over eBay. http://m.ebay.com/itm/FERRARI-TOOL-KIT-PLASTIC-EMERGENCY-KEY-BLANK-348-TESTAROSSA-MONDIAL-/251352959173?nav=SEARCH
Possibly "claying" a copy of your core in an emergency? Not sure this will work but don't like the looks of it either. I got copies made via high resolution photos with an outfit in Australia. All certified mail and extensive background cred.
Thanks, guys. I did see these on e-bay and just wondered if my stuff was not complete, so I got curious. Thanks for the input.
That plastic credit card key would be cut for your key to use in an emergency and kept in your wallet. That's it. Some manufactures really had these
Yes like BMW in the 80's... It was a slimline emergency key to fit flat in your wallet like a credit card. But never Ferrari. Robb

Awesome! ..... ...... these are not the OE Ferrari plastic handled key, therefore no horsie ..... the Goth keys are alloy handled reproduction keys with a brass blade ...... they have a modern high tech look and feel to them ..... they can be cut at most any locksmith .... the reason they are made, is to give owners a nice alternative to the generic blank and/or the very expensive OE key ...
