Hi Manny, regarding your enquiry please know that I have Pm'd you the infos you requested, cheers Kev.
I took my Dino out yesterday. Not exactly the Swiss Alps but nirvana no less! The sounds, the feeling! It doesn't get much better! A guy in a Mercedes chased me down who seemed to know a bit about Dinos. He said, "that's the most beautiful car of all time"! I can't disagree with him! Freeman Image Unavailable, Please Login
Freeman, Your Dino looks like my Dino's slightly older brother. The exterior colors, while not identical, are quite similar. The interior colors may be the same. I even added Euro rear turn signal lenses in 1977, convincing the parts department at a Ferrari dealer in Florence that my car would accept the amber lenses ("dice qui 'non per gli Stati Uniti!'"). Combined with your classic aubergine 911, you truly have the best of both worlds, and a time capsule from the waning days of the postwar sports car era. Fred
Thanks Fred! My 911 and Dino are alter-egos of each other. You pick the car that suits your mood. Each is a completely different visceral experience on the same road under similar conditions, kind of like the experience of listening to Bocelli or The Rolling Stones in the same hall! Freeman
Had the Dino out on Sunday. Here we are in a small town in So Colorado. My running mate for the weekend was a pristine black C1 corvette that can be seen to the right. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Picked up the Dino in the UK on friday, and drove her 1.000 kms to Kiel. The car had some bodywork done and the engine has been completely rebuilt (the previous job was severly below par -they benched it at barely 160 bhp) so had to watch the revs, but it was so hot that I had to drive with all the windows open so could not have driven any faster either way. Very noisy, very hot and very, very fun. What a sweet car the Dino is. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks, guys. The car is in the shop for some adjustments and an oil change - will take some more pictures when I pick her up.
We have at least four Dinos here in the Philippines. I am amazed me have more than Norway. And at one time three Stratos. Norway is more into American cars (or so it seems from what I see on TV)? Andres
