Took the golden boy out for a drive today after slumbering for a few months. Image Unavailable, Please Login
A shot my wife took of me leaving. I took my Dino out for a nice drive yesterday. I am so pleased with the Stratos Weber induction system! I went up and down two extreme steep hills yesterday with extreme curves. My house is at about 700 feet above sea level that takes place in 1/2 mile. The other was going down and up the steep hill to Dana Point Harbor on the north end. Just beautiful linear power with a fantastic sound! With my old DCNF's it would have sputtered, hesitated etc. Freeman Image Unavailable, Please Login
You know, of course, that your Dino will run even sweeter with the addition of more il vecchi capelli del topo!
Freeman - what a great pic! I took mine out tonight, lots of smiles and thumbs up from people out this evening. One of the Indy 500 Camaro pace cars passed me, he was looking down at me as though he was driving an SUV. It is funny how tiny these cars are compared to modern vehicles. Took the Dino out to run errands during the afternoon. Clear roads, got a thumbs up from a classic 911 with a whale tail, and a couple jaws dropped of people crossing the road as I zipped by. Keep forgetting how amazing the sound and feel of this car is! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I can remember driving my Dinos in the '70s, when most people still drove American dinosaurs, being stopped at a light with an American car on my left, and looking up the rear wheel-well as if the car were on a lift at a garage. Fred
Went to a car exhibition this weekend in Copenhagen and ended up on the stage as a receiver of a price of honor. This is my first visit to a car show in a Dino 246 and I must say that the public are crazy with Dino's. That goes both for the older generation that saw the "persuaders" but also for the very young persons that have never seen the car before. Congratulations, Peter! Well deserved, no doubt. Your car looks fantastic. And the bumpers perfectly aligned! Nice that you take it out and show it. These cars need to be seen! Lars
It was a beautiful day here so I took the opportunity to take my GTS out for an hour. I had several people stop and ask me about it when I stopped for fuel. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you Peter. I love my GT versions but the open top of the GTS brings a very pleasant experience on a sunny, warm day. Your car looks great.
I have seen that car close up and it is amazing, like all your cars Iain they have been done to a very high specification.
Thanks Tony. I had a better selection of quiet country roads where I used to live to take the cars out on but I still had an enjoyable drive.
Iain, I can't help noticing the raised aerial, presumably though on an hours blast through the lanes with the roof off you are not listening to the radio ! I still think the GT is a better looking car, but not much beats a GTS on a hot day with the roof off.
Since the weather is getting nicer in the Northern Hemisphere, (and not too bad in the Southern Hemisphere right now), we should be getting more and more photos posted here the same day that you drove your Dino!
I was feeling guilty for not having contributed, so I just ran the Dino out to warm it up. Shawn Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Met up with fellow F-Chatter 'dgt' ,who was in town, to talk cars and go for a drive. We traded back and forth sampling both 6 and 12 cylinder power on a beautiful sunny day in Southern Ontario. I certainly enjoyed myself and Andrew was well happy to be behind the wheel of a Dino again. Cheers Rob and Paul, it was loads of fun and perfect weather. That little yellow Dino is the nicest to drive, everything just works. Did you see the guy in blue truck looking down in the last photo?
