Nice. Do you regularly drive on those plates, or do you slap them on after you have reached your destination? I don't think you could get by with that where I live!
I was inspired after listening to the Bill Noon interview yesterday (carsyeah.com) when he said that the car he would like to have on the weekend to drive was a Dino. The leaves are beginning to change here in KY and it was a beautiful day for a drive! Image Unavailable, Please Login
The weather has been incredibly mild here so I took the opportunity to take my Bianco Polo car out for a spin today. White really does suit the Dino IMHO but is very hard to capture on a photo and even more so when compressed on here. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Couldn't resist...70+ degrees and clear. Before I even got to the coastal highway, a guy in a Porsche 911 pulled alongside of me and simply said "sell me your Dino"...`nuf said! He followed me into this scenic view a few miles south of Carmel to get a closer look. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
did you stop at rocky point restaurant for lunch - 10 mi. s of carmel ? it's been 10 years for us but it was great !
First Picture was my last ride End of October, currently no Chance to do the same :-( Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not exactly a full on drive but a move from storage to the lift (one door over) for some fine tuning. Needless to say that a perfectly clean Dino is quite a sight in the snowy and dirty surroundings of mid winter Canada. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great shot of Garrapatra State Park I've scrambled down that trail with full Scuba gear plus dry suit - beautiful coves there
drove mine today for about an hour a nice 50 mile loop I like to go on to exercise my cars it was a fantastic spring day and the car drove great. I realize even though the car is 40 Plus years old driving at 70 miles an hour comes very easy and smoothly no vibrations or pulling I can let go of the wheel and it just track perfectly (not that i do) .. but unlike some old cars it really likes going quick and i find myself passing cars on the highway .. so I had a nice morning ride.....no time for pictures ....
Just a 40+kilometer round trip yesterday to the sports car club meeting. Its the height of summer here. Andres Image Unavailable, Please Login
Took advantage of nice spring weather here and did a monthly short run yesterday. Before I put the cover on, I could not resist and took this pic. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yesterday about 20 of us got together for a little ride in the rolling hills of Southern Ohio. The day started out cool and overcast and finished with high clouds and a little sun. The temps made for happy drivers and happier cars. Thanks to Ed Hofmann for allowing me to post his images. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was running with some pretty fast and powerful sports cars. They left me in the dust on the straights. Everyone commented that as they had to break and slow down for the twistys, as they looked in their rear views, they saw my Dino catching them. Watching how they all had to break, I just eased off the go pedal and downshifted, rarely breaking as often or as hard as the big guys. I know I am preaching to th choir here, but there ain't nothing like our Dino's. Again, thank you Ed Hofmann for the picture. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Reading your post, I would be inclined to believe that on that day, you were one of the best drivers out there. Both you - and your Dino, did each other proud. Cheers, Hank
It is really amazing how petite the Dino looks when parked in a line with the more modern cars. I am not sure what the driving force is for the progressively increased dimensions - marketing for comfort?, legal department for safety?. Maybe just a package that will never be remade - good for us!
We are having great weather at present so I took 07610 out for a run today. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hank, Watch their breaking points, close the gap, trail brake, blip the gas, downshift, then get back on it. Our cars are so well balanced that they drive like they are on rails, never a hint of breaking loose. No, I am not that good a driver. The car makes it easy! Rob, Cars are much like we Americans. They all keep getting bigger and bigger (and that's not a good thing). A buddy of mine was in his 550 Maranello. I felt like I was in a kart when I was near him. To me that is a shame. You lose the feel of the car on the road. Se la vie... Image Unavailable, Please Login
