I got a 4% loan for the only car I have that is partially financed(ferrari).. at that rate.. it was a no brainer..

Many people that make good money, are also self made business owners.. who might need their liquid cash for their business.. I am one such example.. I need all the cash I have.. I still had to put a good chunk in cashwise.. but I also financed a good portion.. Now if they were offered 6% financing I am not sure I would have jumped on it :)

Cant agree more, I pay cash for my toys and when the market goes upside down I have no worries...

I am not knocking anyone on here that financed their cars but I was always taught that if you cat afford to pay cash for a toy then you cant afford to buy it. I paid cash for my 328 and cash for my Porsche. I feel much better about not having a payment but there are also people out there that say having tht much money tied up in assets is rediculous when "money is cheap" and you can finance a car or anything else for 4-7% if you have good credit. It all depends on how you look at it but I feel more secure in the fact that I dont have a payment hanging over my head.

    Just my 2 cents...
