I hope this hasn't been covered already, but what are everyone's thoughts about 1:18 diecasts - Kyosho, CMC, Autoart? How do they compare? I have several CMCs, and a couple of Kyosho's, but there are a couple of Autoart's that look nice for half the price of Kyosho. Is it another case of "you get what you pay for"?

    Thanks!

I know this has been discussed many times. While I can provide no help, as I am one who sticks to whatever is cheapest. There are many others who can answer this question sufficiently. And welcome to the thread.

I'm a big fan of Kyosho, they are priced right in the middle and offer great detail.

CMC's are beautiful, but alot of $$$$. And I've given up on Hot Wheels....

It depends on how much you want to pay.

    I have Several 1:18's.
    Hot Wheels! They are o.k.!
    Kyosho is great
    Exoto is unbelievable
    CMC is stunning

AUTOart is a really good diecast company. I used to sell them when I had my Collectibles Business. So I bought some Lambos for my Collection since I was able to get them at Wholesale prices. If I didn't get them wholesale, I would have just stuck with an ALL FERRARI collection.

In this range, where would you stick AUTOart?

    Thanks,

That's about right. Both have gone up in price over the past 6 months due to the cost of metals.
It really depends on which cars from either of them you prefer to have in your collection.

Thanks very much - this is good to know. I may try an AUTOart with the expectation that it's a sub-$100 gamble.

    Appreciate the inputs.

I prefer Kyosho, mainly because they did make a lot of Ferrari`s up until last month and I think they the detail and craftsmanship is sometimes noticeably better at a sometimes lower price.

I don`t have any CMC et al models, I can`t really afford them until I get a better paying job but I lust after the CMC 250 SWB...
