For those of you who watch what you eat , here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies.

    1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

    2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

    3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

    4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

    5. The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

    CONCLUSION

Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you. .............

Here's another health tidbit from my urologist. Japanese men have a lower incidence of prostate cancer than American men, until they move here, then the rate is the same. (Anecdote from my doctor, but not fact checked!)

    Funny!

We need to consider what the balance of these respective diets is composed. The red wine the French and Italians drink is actually good for the heart, keeps the arteries clear. And many of the fats these othere people eat are considered the good fats, like in salmon.

Pasta is carbs, but in combination with the rest of the diet, it seems to work for the Italians.

They have located a Greek island where people live longer than on any other place on Earth. Fish and vegetable diet, siestas, olive oil, are all contributors. Personally I believe it has to do with the Ouzo.

And that lamb is not red meat.
