d'ieteren (belgium VW and porsche importer and former coachbuilder) exists 200 years. to celebrate this they've organised a nice show in brussels. surely worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood. mostly vintage coachbuild touring cars, but also some nice porsches a bentley and a miura nothing too much extraordinbary, but nice anyway here are my 35 high res pics: http://speed.*************/PitLane?viewForum=y&gID=2&fID=0 (i couldn't figure out how how to resize them...) @ mod (wolfgang...?) if this is too much off-topic on f-chat, you can just delete this thread
No, its cool & appreciated and I would realy would like to see the pics. A direct link would be helpfull.
ok, great! oh, and here's the direct link: http://speed.*************/PitLane?viewThread=y&gID=2&fID=0&tID=37260
nope, haven't seen it. and you bet i would have noticed if it was there! are you sure they have one? kind of strange considering they never had anything to do with ferrari... don't want to be offending, i'd just like to know
Last year I saw a 275 GTB/4 NART and I was told it belongs to Roland D'ieteren as well.... D'ieteren's parole officer Philippe Casse is a regular participant at classic rally's like Ardennes Blue or National Classic Tour.
roland d'ieteren designed the vw neretti (pics in my link) when he was 18 years old, and that car had some very latin influences IMO. even reminded me of a 275 gtb so perhaps he would have rather imported italian cars... btw, is there anyone who knows one of the d'ieteren personnel personally? i have this assignment for university where i have to discuss bentley's communication strategy, and it's kind of hard to find someone to arrange an interview with...
thanks for offering help, but the work has already been done. had a short phone chat with mr luc holderbeke and email conversation with mr george canzler. however, i'm graduated now, so if you could help me get a marketing job at d'ieteren, it'd be much appreciated!
sadly no. they only showcased the cars that fitted in the 200 year existance of the d'Ieteren group. so only cars that they imported or built at some point seems like mr roland d'Ieteren has quite an exceptional collection. i'd love to see it completely some day
