    Not on the Ferrari. My new Jeep. Has fill and a drain plug, external thread plug so no crush washer. Not worried about fill plug leaking but drain plug should have some kind of sealer, right? It's a mild steel plug so somewhat self sealing.

    Should I be using something and if so what? Thanks!

    I prefer Loctite PST for that type of application (592 or 565 would be OK IMO).
