    Just out of interest.
With normal size i mean normal size of the latest type fuses
There are regular messages here about new fuse boxes for good reason. Nowadays they usually use mini fuses. Are there any other reasons/advantages besides the fact that they are obviously smaller than normal fuses and take up less space?

Bosch torpedo fuses? AGC Glass tube fuses? The modern fuses are superior. Tin and silver plated. MINI - Littelfuse

I believe the OP is asking about the mini fuse size vs the larger ATC/ATO fuse size -- which I think is just a case of smaller is often better (and they gone even smaller with the annoying micro fuses). But even though the mini fuse comes in up to a 30A rating that would kind of iffy IMO as making a good, low resistance connection to the smaller terminals of a mini fuse that wouldn't overheat when conveying 30A ain't easy. That's why you'll often see a mix of fuse types in a fuse block -- mini fuses for the low current stuff, and ATC/ATO fuses for the 30A ~ 40A stuff.
