The only two differences I could identify are:
    1) Gearing of drop gear is lower on the Mondi than the 348 (using the same gearing Michelotto tuned 348's are using)
--- How I found out? I have 2 gearboxes, one stock Mondial t and one stock 348. The 348 had an extra couple of teeth (I think 4 from memory)
    2) For Motronic 2.5 cars ECU pin 54 is earthed to pin 19
--- How I found out? I have the schematics and diagnostic sheets for the M 2.5 system. It shows that for the 348 a "Memoery selection pin" reads no connection for a Mondial t and a connection for a 348. With it connected on my Mondial t I get an extra 500 rpm before the rev limiters kick in. It also "seems more aggressive"

I swapped the gearing for the 348 one and put a switch on the pin (you have to do an ECU reset at each change of mapping). The car is a titch slower on the 0-60 mi, but now has an extra 15 mph at the top (It showed 175 on the clock on the redline at the dyno, while it used to show 160 before). P.S. I know my speedo adds the "Ferrari truth" to the top speeds...

Incidentally, (M2.5) Pin 31 is the pin that tells the car is it was a re-cat or catted car. If you want to run your car in catless and without oxygen sensor (you then need to have the idling exhaust fumes tested and the CO set on the CO screws on the MAF to achieve the HC PPM as specified on the manual)

I thought you'd get a kick in knowing you can take a 348 out of a Mondial t, but you can never take the Mondial t out of the 348!
