    Hi all, title is self-explanatory...
I'd like to fabricate my own loud silencer and need to know what's the difference between silencers OEM p/n 128026 and p/n 118353.
One is supposed to be for the 3.2 (like mine), the other is supposed to be for the QV 3.0, but I can't see any difference myself (I of course don't have both in person to compare) and I am interested to know wether they both fit my car and so can be used as donors.
    Anybody knows?
    Thanks!

Look up P D Gouth n Nottingham uk, they will make you one. They have a gallery of pics showing the different ones which might help you

    I will, thanks.
They are not my most convenient solution, though...
My idea was starting from a stock silencer, which I believe is cheaper and retains the OEM look, but I don't want to destroy mine, so I am looking for an extra one that fits, hence my question.

    Hi Mike,
they are both the "base" (not Germany, not Switzerland) EU parts, but I don't understand the difference...
    Thanks

For everybody who is interested I can now reply myself:
There is no difference at all in outer dimensions, and the two are perfectly interchangeable. Same fixing points.
The big silencer box is the same inside and outside.
The only difference I noticed (apart for the 128026 being a brownish and unpainted color and the 118353 being black) is the way the final "Y" tips are fabricated (and maybe silenced) as per the pictures (as said the 118353 is the black one).
But I can guarantee one can be replaced with the other with no issues at all, and no changes I could feel on how the car goes or sounds.
I hope it helps someone on the hunt for spares...

May I ask what kind of modifications you did to the standard muffler and also if the outcome was to your liking?
