Putting aside the available factory HGTE Option, is there much of a difference between the 599 in the years 2008 through 2010. considering getting one And wanted to know if there were any significant upgrades in that timeframe I should be aware of.

Not many. That MY range all has Motronic 7.3.2, so pretty much the same from what I have seen.

One way to check is to look at the parts catalogs and see if they show changes in that serial number/assembly number range. That has been done for the 575M, but not for the 599 that I have seen.

I think the changes all happened in 2008, with the CCM discs as standard and some tuning of the gearbox / engine management (which resulted in slightly reduced official emissions, acknowledged by a reduced 'fiscal power' tax in France, for instance).

Did Ferrari eventually address the known problems in these models sometime along the path (e.g.): fuel pump, cam variations, ball joints

A few years ago, I was looking at getting this model. After a lot of research on this site, these were things To keep an eye out for it.

You are in the 599 section, not the 360 section. I think you got confused.

So, if I have an ‘07 with the Carbon brakes, then that statement can extend back to that year too with little change between them?

Yes I did, between 2010 and 2013. It was a 2007 (actually manufactured in 2006), Nero Daytona and with (optional for this MY) CCM brakes. The "fiscal power" was indeed 60 CV while later models had 58 CV.
