All 84's and 85's are supposed to only have one.

Mine is an 84 with one cat. I know because I have been a test pipe/hyperflow guy over the past 18 years.

But it has three working cat lights and the two on the dash are the 1-4 and 5-8 just like a two cat car.

I promise, it is the only one like this.

This is not true as far as I can tell. There are plenty of '84s (mine included) that have black rockers.

Here you can see the dash cat 5-8 and the single cat light on the instrument pod in my 84. I will post a better picture when I get home.

I have black rockers (84). My car was repainted, but I have found no evidence that it was repainted anything other than factory.

Look at the "metal ridge" on the inside of the front hood near the driver side, left is a 85 GTS with a straight profile, right is a 83 GTB with a curved profile. Both with single front hood latch. Did not notice that if my friend did not point it out.

The picture is a bit dark though. What about yours? :)

Mine is a June 84' car too and also has the snap. June was near the very end of the 84' line and I'm guessing little things like that were starting to be implemented gearing up for the 85' cars in the next month or so.

'82-'86 Euro 308 QV do not have a coolant thermoswitch in the expansion tank -- are you confusing "replacements" between versions?

    early euro 308QV = 116589; late euro 308QV = 120273 = no bungs
'83 US 308QV = 114475 = has two bungs - one for coolant thermoswitch, one for EGR thermo-pneumatic valve
    '84-'85 US 308QV = 121647 = has one bung for coolant thermoswitch

    Dr.Tommy isn't that a steering wheel from a 2v injected car in your 84?

    It is.

I put it on about 10 years ago. The MOMO was getting scuffed up.

    Hello,
I would like to come back to this old subject and in particular on the point raised by piezo in his post # 34.
I tried to date the change of the upper structure of the front cover but without real precision (from curved to a straight reinforcement).

For the moment, I'm considering the change between chassis 45327 and 46497.

If ever there are Quattrovalvole owners between these two numbers, I will appreciate their return on the subject.
I guess this is the kind of detail that interests only me but I think it could be useful to some if it is documented on the site dedicated to the 308.
Thank you very much for your help
