i have been watching the different auctions on Television and I find the auction techniques interesting. I notice Barrett Jackson and Mecum use that old school fast auction talk (which by the way I never understand) and then I see Bonham and Sotheby's using more of a laid back approach. I wonder is one technique better than the other? Does the auction technique depend on what kind of car it is. I also notice Mecum is always trying to get the seller to drop the reserve. Do they have better results by doing this? I find the whole auction scene very interesting. It is also confusing at times.

This seems to be the theme for most if not all of your threads. Props to you for consistency.

Barrett-Jackson and Mecum seem to consistently bring a "lower caliber" of cars than Bonham and Sotheby's. Different client base, different cars, different atmosphere. Not sure what's confusing about it?
