246 L (and 206) oil pressure gauges show 0 - 125 lbs. All other Dinos go up to 170. I tested the pressure with a trusty mechanical unit so I know pressure is present. Gauge was gone over, I installed a new sending unit and the gauge read very low. I installed the old sending unit and it shows what the mechanical unit did. After putting a few miles on the clock the old sending unit is faltering. My question is, should there be a different sending unit for the earlier cars or did I get a bad new unit? Steve
I just spoke to Norma @ McCann's. There IS a difference between sending units. When I ordered the new one (from another supplier) , I asked for the correct part #, but was told the number was replaced with what they supplied. Lots of little differences between the series.
