Just got back from a week in London. Copared to the Noth East usa exotics there lead a very different life. Seems every block in Mayfair has a ferrari and one or two astons parked for the eveing. A number of these cars appear to live on the street. I lost count of the number of california's driving around in traffic.

It got me thinking about different uses. in Europe it seems that an exotic can and is used as a driver. Maybe the west coast is different but in the NE an exotic ia much more of a special occasion vehicle(porche excepted). Perhaps this leads to very different tastes as well, here we need more of an occasion vehicle, more raw, more 458 more scud, in europe an R8 or cali or aston is more desirable as they are usable on a daily basis.

Here parking an exotic on the street is asking for a negative experience, and raod conditions, ie potholes negate any reasonable degree of civility.

Perhaps this is where Mclarten has lost the plot, making the 21st century NSX, yes it is daily usable, but by all accounts not a looker or imbued with passion.

Here an exotic is mobile art, both in terms of design and experience be it spped or aural delight, somethin speciual to be savpoured on occasion. There an exotic is more of a usable appliance, and in that reagard requirements are more to the bland. just a thought.
